The TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre is currently seeking a medical assistant or dental assistant who is looking for something new and exciting. The right person will be trained to become a certified TMD Assistant. Applicants should have an interest in the treatment of TMD, Orthodontics and Dental Sleep Medicine. Our experienced team will provide on the job training to assure your success. This position is 33-40 hours per week and benefits are included! Members of our team require a passion for continued education, strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills, all while providing outstanding, professional customer service. Competency of our treatment protocols, technology and appointment flow are essential to successful treatment, resulting in happy healthy patients.   • Confirms the proper documentation, medical records, imaging and patient information has been obtained prior to the patients arrival.
  • Gather comprehensive health history (including vitals).
  • Will have a clear understanding of risk factors and treatment options of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and TMJ Disorders
  • Collect data for the exam (i.e. intraoral measurements, photos, CT Scan, JVA)
  • Uses computer or fax to transmit information or documents when requested
  • Adjust TMJ Appliances
  • Assist in Orthodontic procedures
  • Adheres to all safety and health regulations
  • Keep room stocked and neat for each appointment type
